Excel Top Guard
A two-part flexible acrylic exterior system — a waterproof basecoat and a topcoat, sold as separate tins and applied together. Nerolac cites higher film thickness, high elasticity with over 190% elongation, breathability, crack bridging and anti-algal protection. The warranty only applies if both coats are used.

12 year performance warranty, and only when the Top Guard topcoat and waterproof basecoat are applied together. Nerolac's older data sheet states 10 years; their product page and warranty page both say 12. Their warranty certificate names a different product in its operative clause, so we do not publish an algal or fungal carve-out for this product — ask us and we will get it confirmed.

- Topcoat 4.64–5.11 sq m/litre for two coats by brush. Basecoat on fresh surfaces: 4.64–5.11 sq m/litre for the self-priming coat at 30% dilution, then 3.73–4.18 sq m/litre undiluted for the second; 2.78–3.25 sq m/litre when repainting. Quote the two components separately — they are not additive.
