
Nilaya Arc Matt
A lime-based paint at the top of Asian Paints' range, which they place in a tier of its own above Royale. The lime composition gives a tactile, artisanal matt surface meant to evoke heritage plasterwork, with silicon added for durability. It needs three to four weeks to cure fully.

10 year warranty on shade and colour retention and on film integrity — no peeling or flaking. There is no anti-fungal, sheen, crack bridging or waterproofing cover, unlike Royale. Asian Paints requires registration within 15 days and a minimum system of 4 litres of Nilaya Arc, 4 litres of primer and 10 kg of putty, with an inspection by their representative.

- 100–120 sq ft/litre for two coats, on normal masonry with brush and short nap roller. Asian Paints publishes no one-coat figure for this product, and notes an extra coat may be needed for complete hiding.
- Shelf life
- 36 months. Tinted material should be used within 48 hours.
- Application
- Short nap felt roller — Asian Paints names their Roller 950, or Mid Nap roller 800 followed by a foam roller. Thin 1 litre with 300–350 ml of water.

- Asian Paints' data sheet says over 100 shades while its web page says over 200. We quote the data sheet.
